Formerly known as York Beach Surf Club, Ocean Surf has long been part of the fabric of York Beach — a place where summer memories, ocean breezes, and effortless coastal days naturally come together. Today, Ocean Surf carries that legacy forward with a refreshed look, an easygoing atmosphere, and a renewed focus on what matters most: time well spent by the water.
Our vision is simple — create a place that feels relaxed, welcoming, and naturally connected to the rhythm of the coast. From sunlit mornings to poolside afternoons and easy evenings, Ocean Surf is designed for guests who want their vacation to feel effortless, scenic, and full of those small, memorable moments that bring people back year after year.

Reception: Open 7am - 11pm

Smoking: We are a smoke free hotel. There is a $250 per room or $500 per cottage cleaning fee if it is discovered that a room was smoked in.
Destination Fee: All reservations will include a $20 per night resort fee which includes parking for 1 vehicle.
Pet Fee: $75 per pet, per stay. Limit of 2 pets. View our detailed Pet Policy.
Parking: Parking for additional vehicles is $40 per vehicle per night. A parking pass is required. No outside parking is permitted and is strictly enforced.
Party Policy: Parties or group events are strictly prohibited in rooms and cottages.
Accessibility: Though our first-floor public spaces and rooms have many accommodations for accessibility, please note the hotel does not have elevators servicing the second floor.

Are you open year-round?
We're a seasonal escape! Ocean Surf is open from mid-May through late October. It's the perfect window to enjoy York Beach at its best.
What’s the best time of year to visit York Beach?
Summer brings lively beach energy and sunshine, while shoulder seasons offer quieter stays, scenic walks, and fewer crowds. Every season brings its own kind of coastal charm.
What is your minimum check-in age?
All reservations must be made by a guest who is 21 years of age or older. We'll verify your ID at check-in, then it's time to relax and enjoy the coast!
Do you have a 24hr reception desk?
Our front desk is open daily from 7am to 11pm. Need assistance outside those hours? Feel free to reach out, and we'll do our best to help!
Do you offer early check-in/late check-out?
We know you'll want to start your vacation early and stay as long as possible! Early check-ins and late check-outs are available on a limited basis for an additional fee. Check with the front desk to see what's available during your stay.
Is the hotel pet friendly?
We love welcoming furry family members! Dogs are welcome at Ocean Surf, and during summer months, they can enjoy the beach before 8am or after 6pm. Leashes are required at all times to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
What is the pet fee?
Our pet fee is $75 per pet, per stay, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room. We want your whole family, four-legged members included, to enjoy the coast with you!
What is the pet policy?
We welcome dogs at Ocean Surf! While we'd love to host all kinds of animal companions, we're only able to accommodate dogs on the property at this time.
Is parking available?
Parking for one vehicle is included with your $20 per night resort fee — one less thing to think about. Need space for an additional car? Additonal on-site parking is available at $40 per night.

Is breakfast available on-site?
Start your day the coastal way! Our on-site café offers a delicious breakfast menu with oceanfront vibes. The perfect way to fuel up for a beach day.
Do you have on-site dining options?
Great news, we have you covered! Our on-site café serves drinks and three meals a day, so you can refuel without leaving the property. Fresh air and good food, all in one place.
Do you have a pool?
Yes! Our large outdoor heated pool is perfect for those who prefer a calm dip or want a break from the ocean breeze. Relax on our poolside loungers from dawn to dusk.
Do you provide beach towels/chairs?
We have a limited number of beach chairs available to rent at $10 per day. They're perfect for a relaxing day by the water. We do ask that you bring your own beach towels to complete your seaside setup.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Absolutely! Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected whether you're sharing beach moments or checking in from afar.
Can I bring my own barbecue grill?
We've got you covered with well-maintained grills and fresh propane right on-site! We kindly ask that personal grills stay at home so we can keep things safe and tidy for all our guests.
Do you have laundry facilities?
We don't have laundry facilities on-site, but we're happy to point you toward nearby laundromats in town. Just ask the front desk!
Do you have elevators?
The Commons building features an elevator for your convenience. Our other buildings have staircases only, so please let us know if you have any accessibility needs when booking.
Is housekeeping provided daily?
In an effort to be mindful of the environment, housekeeping refreshes bedding and towels every third day in our hotel rooms. Prefer more frequent service? Just let the front desk know. We're happy to accommodate!
Do the 3 and/or 4-bedroom cottages have more than 1 bathroom?
All of our cottages and hotel rooms feature one bathroom, designed to keep your stay simple and comfortable.
Do you have accessible rooms?
Absolutely, everyone belongs at the beach! We have two fully accessible rooms located in the main building, designed to make your stay comfortable and effortless.
Are cribs or extra beds available?
We offer pack and plays at $30 per stay for our youngest guests. Quantities are limited, so please let the front desk know in advance so we can reserve one for you!
